闲来无事，继续读《纽约时报》07年推荐专栏。 今天读的是瑞士作家Peter Stamm《瑞士迷失（Swiss Miss）》，文章以瑞士军队误入列支敦士登境内为引子，介绍了瑞士军事现状。文笔轻松调侃，颇有宋石男没当教兽前的文风。例如：“瑞军入侵列支敦士登干嘛呢？那里又没有发现大规模杀伤性武器。”“瑞军配发的来复枪只用于自杀和偶尔的暴力犯罪。”“瑞军可能不是世界上最强大的，但绝对是负重行军最强的。当地球上的石油消耗殆尽的时候，最后一支还在的移动的军队一定是我们。” ...

《纽约时报》网站上评出了“2007年引人注目的Op-Eds文章”。这里需要稍微解释一下Op-Eds是Opposite Editorial的简称，意思就是“与社论版相对的哪一个版”。这一版主要刊登观点类文章，与社论不同的是，它只代表作者的观点，不代表报社立场。类似国内报刊的专栏版。 在《纽约时报》推荐的去年Op-Eds，有一篇DENIS DUTTON写的乐评把我乐坏了，这篇文章叫做《Shoot the Piano Player》（毙掉弹钢琴的），评述了英国钢琴师（乔伊斯-哈图）Joyce Hatto的传奇经历。我按图索骥，在网上搜索了一些Joyce的资料，把这个故事跟大家共享。 ...
